If you haven't yet subscribed to my email updates, but would like to receive them, please shoot me through a message with your email address. Today's loveletter to all has an article on the chakra we'll be working with this coming week, Anahata, as well as an update on the retreat in just over a month, and additions to my current timetable.
Here's an insight into the fourth chakra:
In Sanskrit, “anahata” means unhurt, unstruck and unbeaten. It is the fourth primary chakra and serves as our center of love for oneself and others, compassion, empathy and forgiveness.
The anahata chakra is associated with unconditional love, compassion, and joy.
As the name "anahata" implies, when one encounters hurt feelings from their past or present, there is the option to choose to feel them fully and let them go or to hold onto them. By letting them go, you’re able to open your heart to new people and new experiences with compassion, love, and understanding. Holding onto hurt harbours negative feelings and cuts one off from opportunities to love and serve. Letting go is as easy as making a choice. The mind and the ego may tell you otherwise but it’s as simple as choosing to let go and move on.
This chakra governs one’s senses of trust, fearlessness, peace, generosity, gratitude, and connectedness, as well as change and transformation, healthy boundaries, depth in relationships with others, emotional control, and love for oneself.
When we connect into anahata, it encourages a feeling and general sense of belonging and trusting in your heart as an inner compass so one can move forward with love.
When the heart chakra is in healthy alignment you will feel surrounded by love, compassion, and joy and connected to the world around you. You will feel open to all experiences in life, and it will feel like challenges, especially in relationships, flow through you and are resolved with ease. An open heart chakra allows us to see all of the beauty and love around us, and truly connect to ourselves, our loved ones, and the natural world. This chakra also helps direct love back to ourselves to truly be able to love and accept ourselves and our bodies.
